Street Marketing Internship

The Street Marketing internship will provide an opportunity to learn basic marketing and public relations skills including branding, promotion, grassroots marketing, and public information. This intern will learn first-hand about industry trends, target audiences and how to reach them, and the basics of creative development and project management of marketing initiatives in the arts and entertainment industry, as well as community relations.

Responsibilities

In the two weeks following Bumbershoot, intern will assist with event wrap / notes, office clean up, return of borrowed materials, and volunteer thank yous.

This internship serves interests in the marketing, PR or communications fields in the arts, music and event industries. This is a great position particularly for a marketing/comm major with a strong interest in events and dealing directly with the public.

Qualifications

During the summer, this will become a full-time position. In addition to coordinating all events, intern will need to set up and break down major events (those at which we have a booth), and will often need to be on-site to supervise new volunteers or supplement no-show staff. On-site and in-office hours will be balanced to not exceed 40.
