Concessions Assistant
Two major revenue streams for events are tickets sales and Sponsorship. Everything else is Concessions, including food vending, craft vending, beer gardens, official merchandise sales and other projects. These elements are also critical to the artistry, interactivity and fun of an event. The Concessions team brings together hundreds of vendors and staff to make sure attendees have access to great food and beverages, unique and interesting shopping, high-quality merchandise, and more.
The Concessions Intern will learn planning and operations of concessions including craft and food vending, merchandise sales, and Beer Garden operations for all One Reel events. Emphasis on vendor management including database management, finance and operations tracking, onsite trouble-shooting, ordering and managing supplies, communications to vendors, staff contracting and management.
This is a great opportunity to get hands-on project management experience, providing support and guidance to a wide variety of small businesses.
Responsibilities

Manage database for concessions vendors including contact info, equipment and supply orders, vehicle and staff credentials, insurance and finance tracking.
Work as a Concessions Area Manager on-site, coordinating vendor activities in one or more areas of event grounds.
Organize and prepare major mailings to vendors.
Track staff hiring documentation.
Hire and train 4 food sink monitors, working staff at Bumbershoot.
Oversee Poster Sales booth operation including managing inventory, tracking sales.
Intern may provide support to Catering co-managers by building Catering tracking books and working to build shopping list and working with Catering on-site, as necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as email and web access.
Event planning and management, small business management, project management, client management, customer service.
