Position Summary
The Marketing Director is responsible for crafting and guiding the marketing and branding of One Reel projects and for One Reel as a whole. S/he assumes a key leadership role in the organization and works with various individuals and teams in developing One Reel business plans for existing and new projects. As department head, this position is also responsible for the management of the Marketing department staff, budgets, and all functions related to the department.

Major Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Develop and manage annual marketing budget, plan and timeline, including traditional and non-traditional initiatives.
Develop and manage communication strategy with PR for all events.
Develop and manage media sponsorships and in-kind (trade) deals.
Manage written content for all digital and print marketing collateral, writing or collecting from appropriate internal sources, and copy-editing as necessary.
Direct design and delivery of marketing collateral for events and the organization.
Work directly with Sponsorship to develop and deliver corporate sponsor marketing benefits, and manage on-site activation of media sponsorships.
Coordinate marketing, branding, PR and social media efforts with outside agencies as necessary, serving as a primary point of contact and conduit for information.
Qualifications

College degree, with a minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, with a proven track record in successful communications management, strategic messaging, resourceful marketing and advertising planning, and positive revenue growth
Excellent, motivated leader who thrives in a collaborative and high energy environment, and has experience leading a dynamic, results-oriented staff
Expert analytical skills as it pertains to ticket sales and budget development
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage multiple, complex projects on tight deadlines. Ability to work under pressure is key, as is willingness to put in the hours to get the job done with a high degree of accuracy and quality. This may involve working some evenings and weekends as needed.
Creative, culturally savvy, and in touch with current and developing trends
Exceptional writing, copy editing and oral communication skills
Preference will be given to candidates with an arts focused background and large-scale event experience

Successfully executes a marketing and communications plan for events including earned media, promotions, advertising, and media sponsorship to meet or exceed annual goals set and agreed to by this individual and Associate Director.
Successfully manages budgets.
Manages staff personnel issues to resolution within the department.
Participates as an actively engaged problem solver and contributor to the Director group and within other division or company-wide meetings.
Maintains high level of situational awareness.
Performs in a professional manner at all times, maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance.
